Stephanie Schmidt is the General Manager for Data Center Platform Strategy and Market Analytics.  She is responsible for Data Center market sizing & workload value pools, market analytics priorities to deploy AI & modernize, primary research to support the business, and support of the Data Center Technical Strategy

Prior, she was the Senior Director for Product Sustainability & Platform Strategy responsible for Data Center sustainability roadmap, technologies, and business insights.  She was chief of staff for the Data Center Group Strategy Office.  She led strategy, messaging and customer engagements.  She was point of contact for the Open Compute Project (OCP) and Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) board of directors.

Stephanie joined Intel in 2006 and has contributed to Intel’s business, manufacturing process, and product development through a wide variety of roles and leadership experiences.  For the Data Center group, she was a strategy director leading business planning and program management.  For Data Center Finance, she was the finance controller, CFO, for the high-performance computing group responsible for the Xeon Phi and Omni-Path PnLs. 

She spent a decade in semiconductor technology and manufacturing where she progressed from process engineer to department manager.  She led a team of over 300 and helped transfer 45 and 32 nm process technologies from technology development to high volume manufacturing.

Stephanie holds bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Washington State University.
